Five Nights At Freddy’s 3 is the third mobile release of the franchise in 2015 after its PC version. Apart from being available on Android and iOS, FNAF 3 is also available on Zelle 10 and Cooa.  This new release brings a few major changes in its game contents. Firstly, the story setting has changed from the pizza restaurant to a newly built facility known as “Fazbear’s Fright: The Horror Attraction”. The role players are playing in this game is still the security guard and the game mechanism resembles that in the previous releases. Despite of the changes in the story background, the goal of the game is still to survive from hostile and deadly attacks from those ghostly toys and animatronics whose aim is to kill the players, burn the facility and put the leftover items on auction. Besides, players’ role is also part of the facility itself and the horror really reveals itself from the second night. In this game, the characters are mainly featured by the ghost toys and the game progress is also night-based. Players would also get the messages left by the previous watchman and more hidden cues and hints are to be discovered in this new release. Although players still need to successfully survive five nights in a row to complete the game, they are actually involved in more game modes in FNAF 3. Players need to survive a few ultra difficult game modes such as the “Nightmare Night” to unlock the hidden ending of the story. It is worth mentioning that FNAF 3 only contains one animatronic —spring trap, which on the one hand, simplifies the characters; on the other hand, it also increases the hard level and intensity of the gameplay.

Review

Five Nights At Freddy’s 3 is generally well received by the market. The game ratings are very positive with many compliments and approval. As usual, the FNAF franchise well maintains its high quality and smooth graphics, detail-oriented artwork and engaging game ambiance. Apart from that, thanks to its timing undated and optimization, FNAF 3 shows much less technical problems and laggy issues. The game operation seems more stable and smooth. The most eye catching feature of this new release is the phantom elements, which adds up the mysterious and spooky vibes. Just like its previous release, this game also integrates mini games along side its main gameplay. To better fit into the phantom theme and better accommodate the main game, the mini games are a bit darker in style and presentation, with vivid characteristics. Another special feature of FNAF 3 is that only one animatronic character is available in the game. This may at first lower player’s alertness because one animatronic is usually easier to handle. However, this also means that the game intensity is actually raised up. With only one animatronic threat, players would be assigned with less equipment and the one enemy can be ultra powerful in attacks. This factually would lower the defense efficiency and add the risk of being attacked by the spring trap. The other positive feature of this game includes a return to the subtle and intriguing representation of in-game horror and suspension. On a technical view point, the frequency of the app upgrades and bug fixes make this game the most stable version by now in this franchisee and people can enjoy the game with much less technical hiccups.
