Stumble Guys is an online multiplayer racing game, developed by Kitka Games. It is free for downloading on App Store and Google Play with further in-app purchase options. This mobile game can be played by single player together  with other online players or bots; or players can create their own gaming sessions with selected online members. Either way, each gaming session can accommodate a maximum 32 players at the same time. It is a real-time Royale-styled gaming dynamic. The goal of this game in general is to be the last player standing till the end of game while others falling down and stumbling behind. However, it should be noted that for some challenge levels, the goal is to move faster than anyone else and be the first runner to reach the finish line; while in other levels, players have to try their best to not fall. The game control of Stumble Guys is designated for mobile screens and one-hand maneuvering. Players just need to tap and hold their tapping to create different motions such as running, sliding and jumping etc. Plus, those three movements are also the very core physics in this game. As for the gameplay mechanism, it adopts a classic combo of obstacles and combats. However, this game is not displayed on a linear running course in any direction, instead, it adopts a multi-angled gaming interface, given its multi-player real-time feature. Besides, there is no gate-picking in this game and more focus is given on avoiding obstacles and in-person combats. Furthermore, this game can be time-sensitive in some levels where players need to race faster to win. Otherwise, time is not relevant and clock is not ticking. With such game rule in mind, it is important for players to keep a balance between dodging obstacles and engaging enemies. On the one hand, players will encounter various moving hazards that are designed to knock them down or strike their over. The most normal types of obstacles are the ones with patterned or rhythmic movements. Players can calculate the right timing to get pass them without being hit. Or they can use jumping or leaping motion control to get over these at a faster rate. At the same time, players need to also watch out hostile enemies who would take their chances to knock you down and launch surprising attacks to catch you off guard. Meanwhile, you can also do the same to other competitors. Either dodging obstacles or attacking enemies, timing is crucial in the game control. 

Game Review

This game is usually regarded as a ripoff of the famous PC game Fall Guys. It gains its user base by providing this mobile version designated for players on the go. More importantly, this game is completely free to download and players in theory can play along without paying. However, as a knockout or whatever you choose to call it, it bears certain innate criticism. This game resembles Fall Guys so much that it blurs its own features and uniqueness if at all. Plus, some players would also point out that even as a spinoff, some cool elements of the original game are not included in this mobile version, and the gameplay is not as refined as the PC original. Well, those are all fair criticisms but it shouldn’t be denied that players do get a better gaming experience from this game if you compare this one with other more generic and conventional racing games. Therefore, given time for its further development, this game might have the potential to be a popular game on its own right.
