Card Strategies in Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel
Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel deals with large number of cards and scenarios in different playing modes. Although the game mechanics are not too difficult to understand, this game can still be quite overwhelming for new gamers simply because of the extensive contents and large collection of cards. To better cope with the gameplay and new challenges, players should familiarize themselves with some practical strategies on card maneuvering.
The first thing players need to do is to start with the Solo mode. In this mode, players can gradually unlock new cards, navigate through various scenarios and earn extra in-game currencies such as the gems. Beginners can also take advantage of the tutorial before they step into the actual game mode. This helps new players get familiar with the features and functions of different cards, and learn potential combinations in different settings.
Building the deck is a central task in those gaming sessions. Although the rule allows from 40 up to 60 cards selected in a deck, it is better for players to keep their number of cards around 40. There is no need to cramp your deck with large number of single-purpose or scenario specific cards. Instead, the clever move is to select as many versatile cards as you can. In other words, it is better to use cards with combos potentials in different scenarios.
Another tip is to refrain your purchase on packs. It is rather tempting to buy many packs with gems. However, buying too many packs can be a waste on your valuable currencies because oftentimes many cards are barely used or only used occasionally. Therefore, it is highly suggested that players save gems only for very valuable card packs that they absolutely need in later game phase or duels.
What’s more, even if you have already purchased more card packs than you need, you should at least recycle those cards you don’t need since recycling earns you craft points.
