Maximizing Gameplay in True Skate Without Micro-transaction

True Skate is a well designed skateboarding simulation game, packed with realistic and sophisticated motion controls and trick performance. Like many other sports sim games, it takes a lot of practice and skills for players to get better and unlock more of the gaming contents. However, True Skate comes with a price if players want to obtain a full experience of this game. The paywall involves two types of spendings: mandatory and optional. Unfortunately, players cannot get around spending real money on new skateparks. However, they can still expand the playability of this game without further payment by avoiding optional micro transactions on unlocking side missions. In order to do this, players should take sensible strategies to make the most of the in-game currency— true credits (TCs), which is the key to unlock new contents in True Skate without costing a penny.

In True Skate, the gameplay comes with two parts: the main game that takes place in various paid skateparks, and the unlock-able side missions that can be either purchased with real money or redeemed with TCs. There are two sources of earning TCs. Players can get this reward through trick performance or successful fulfillment of missions. Initially, players only have the access to a few missions, which strategically should be their first source of TCs. This is because those missions are usually very random and easy to complete. Unlike skatepark game, side missions are not related to anything and they come one at a time as independent quests. Therefore, players should take full advantage of those starting missions and use the TCs earned in those quests to unlock more new missions. In doing so, players not only create a positive cycle on rewards and new contents, they can also grind their skills in those side missions since there isn’t a designated practice mode in True Skate. Doing individual side missions is a great chance for players to practice and experiment all sorts of controls and tricks without any consequences on their main game.

To sum up, an active engagement in missions along side the main game challenges can help players earn free in-game currency and improve their skateboarding skills. In return, players can spend the currency on unlocking new gaming contents or customizing their skateboards. By taking this strategy, players can expand the playability of the game without extra payment; meanwhile, they can also improve their skills in a fun and trouble-free way.
